OH, BABY, BABY YOU'RE A WILD ONE

TUESDAY 25/08/2009

Recently a local lady died in a car crash and her photograph was on the front page of our local paper. Unfortunately she happened to look like me and now I sometimes get strange looks when I’m out and about.

My friend, JeanGenius, had obviously not seen the newspaper and was bemused when she was offered the sincere condolences of the staff at our regular eatery. Imagine their shock when I walked through the door. They were pleased to see me, but, I should add, not pleased enough to offer me a free lunch!

This week our little man Noah, the youngest member of the family, is in the joint care of Nanny Kim and me, with Grandad Phil and OG in attendance whilst his primary family is away on holiday. He is the cutest 7 mmonth old perfect baby and a pleasure to have. We all love him to bits.

And finally …..two elderly gentlemen from a retirement home were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says:

'Stan, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains.. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?

Stan says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'

'Really? Like a newborn baby!?'

'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.

Once I was walking up the main road and someone said *I am so glad to see you as I saw you named in the local paper as having died*
There must have been two of us. Scary!

I can imagine their faces were a picture when you walked in RAC. They could at least have stood you lunch though.

Enjoy your baby sitting!

Oh My, the joke was hilarious! enjoyed it immensely!

They say we all have a look alike somewhere! that would be freaky! I had somebody make comments to me, calling me by another lady's name; she worked a local bank here; they swore up and down I was her!

Our local priest was confronted by a parishioner who said she thought he had died three years ago and she had been praying for his soul all that time. He said he thought it nice to be in credit in his spiritual bank account.
Love to come round but very busy these days. Would you like to be in my musical play I'm doing soon, "The Wizard Of Oz"? Guess who is the straw man? ~ Eddie

My goodness, that must have been an eerie experience! How very strange! No free lunch, huh? Oh well, at least you're still alive to eat one!

Little Noah looks adorable and I know you're all going to love having him to yourselves.

Love the joke - and Eddie Bluelights' priest's comment! LOL!

And imagine their faces when I asked them for a free lunch Anne. Priceless.

Now I have never been mistaken for a banker Bella. A bank robber, maybe!

Thanks for the offer Eddie. I have Dorothy shoes, does this qualify me for the lead?

It would have been odd had I not been alerted to the picture in the paper some weeks before Jay. The thing that I found REAllY odd was that this lady looked old! How could they have possibly mistaken me for her?

I'm straight. I love you. That's all. The purest kind, really.

Why thanks Fran. I'm straight and I love you too.
