DR NO I PRESUME?

OG and I have been following the development of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN with interest and concern for many years.

So, if you hear a bump in the night between next Wednesday and Christmas it may be that the 10,000 scientists and engineers from 85 countries who have worked on it have been successful in discovering the “God particle”, re-creating the “big bang” or creating a black hole that will tear the Earth apart.

And, 19 years after the www was developed at CERN by Tim Berners Lee, a new super computing grid built to disseminate vast amounts of data to scientist world wide will make the internet obsolete.

So, as they say at CERN …. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS.

So, as I say in Lincolnshire ..... did we learn nothing from the Garden of Eden?

A brave new world? We shall see.

And finally ..... never test the depth of the water with both feet

At least the end of the world looks quite pretty

Seems like a good time to sell the swiss apartment before it becomes a portal to one of the 22 other dimensions...

Then again, it could become the new 'Restaurant at the end of the universe'!

Do you think so Luke? I think it could do with a little more pink myself!

I can see that this blog is going to bring out all the comedians. You may be laughing the other side of your faces come Wednesday when we all meet in the great multiverse in the sky.

Next Wednesday, huh?

I remember laughing when I heard what they said about it. Someone asked what would happen when the thing was turned on and they replied 'we don't know'.

Scientists, huh?

I guess we'll find out...

Next Wednesday! Awaiting with bated breath!

Hey, rich girl, I bet you £10,000 the Collider won't tear the Earth apart!

I'm glad anonymous divined the reason why you and OG sold your Swiss apartment recently!

If, by some chance, old Earth survives this event, then it may well be that scientists will find out how the Big Bang came about. But we won't want that, will we, because it'll cast doubt on that Garden of Eden story, won't it?

Any way you look at it, next Wednesday is going to be Black Wednesday, isn't it!

Good advice to never test the depth of the water with both feet.

Yes, Jay. In two days/two months we and they will know the answer.

Well, Maggie, can you hold your breath until Christmas? That is when it gets up to full strength.

Now DogLover, you know that I didn't become a rich girl by making daft wagers with the likes of you.

You would think that was obvious wouldn't you Mae, but it is advice that I have never taken! I'm an impetuous, all or nothing type gal!
