Happy Birthday, STM
-
STM is 54 today, and in celebration, he's going on a 54-mile bike ride.
While that is pretty much the *last* thing I'd ever choose to do in the

I was widowed from my darling husband Davy at Christmas 2009. We had a great life with many character building ups and downs, culminating with the start up of our business, Infotel, in 1989.
Infotel was the first online interactive hotel booking service in the UK. In response to popular demand we expanded the this to include two more brands findmeahotelroom.com and findmeaconference.com which are primarily, but not exclusively, for account managed corporate clients.
I have 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren most of whom are now my reason for living.

A good song - cheesey though...
Cheesy is good.
You old softy, you!
For Yvonne and me it was "There's a Place Somewhere" from West Side Story which must have been newish when we met. I believe lots of other people feel the same about the song.
I like that song too.
Love that song RAC - as for my choice it would have to be Elvis singing Wooden Heart. Although Bob and I are in our 60's we have only been together 20 years and one evening on our honeymoon as we sat on a balcony we heard it playing. Back at home he played it to me on his harmonica. Ahh! Ain't love grand. A x
For me, it would be anything from the 'Desperado' or 'On The Border' albums from The Eagles. Other Half and I did a fair bit of travelling both before we married and just afterwards, and we had a little old Morris Minor with no radio or music player, but we used to take a portable tape deck and rest it on the back seat. Those two albums are the ones we played most often.
Oh, and 'You Never Cry Like a Lover' was the first song I ever heard through stereo headphones, and it was OH who put those on my head and played that to me, just before we married.
I like this game!!
How about the Top 10 of your life and then an overall favourite.
Mine goes -
1-10 "Little Donkey"
11-20 "Nights in White Satin"
21-30 "Home Thoughts from Abroad"
and "Stayin Alive"
31-40 "Simply the Best" and "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)"
41-50 "These are the Days of our Lives" and "Angel"
51-60 "New York, New York" and "I Hope You Dance"
Overall top one "Lean on Me"
Anyone else playing?? Gotta go - music to play!!!!
Thanks Mae, it's cute isn't it?
Yes, Strawberry Jam Anne, we are never too old for love are we?
Little Donkey - Jean you got to be kidding!
The lyrics speak to us all, though. Thank you for taking part.
I love the words David, and they said so much to me at that time.
Ohhh that hurts RAC- remember it was between age 1-10 - 'bout 5 I think - got it for Christmas and wore the record out before New Year!!! Still brings tears when I hear it though!!!!!
I am sorry for being so insensitive Jean, of course you love the song!
